Leandro Bisiach II, 1904-1982)

Leandro Bisiach II (1904-1982) is Leandro Bisiach’s son. His older brothers Andrea Bisiach (1890-1967) and Carlo Bisiach were also luthiers. At the age of 15, he began studying with his father and brothers. Whenever his father had to take business trips, he would leave his sons in the care of Iginio Sderci (1884-1983), who also taught them violin making skills. In 1932, Leandro Bisiach II and his older brother Giacomo (1900-1995) opened a luthier shop together.

His works combined the Stradivari “Messiah,” the Stradivari-Amatisee, as well as the styles of Pierto Guarneri and Giovanni Battista. He shared labels with his brother Giacomo since they worked together. It was not until 1972 that he started using his own labels.
